Hartbeat, the global multi-platform media company founded by Kevin Hart, was preparing to open its new headquarters in Hollywood, California -- a state-of-the-art facility featuring podcast studios, executive offices, a full kitchen, a private movie theater, and hospitality zones. The 40,000 square foot space, which had formerly housed Oprah Winfrey’s studio, was being renovated by Raise (acquired since by JLL) with exceptional finishes across multiple floors.
Just three weeks before the grand opening, a critical element remained unresolved: art.
Kevin Hart’s team had earmarked a sizeable budget to purchase art. However, it quickly became clear that it would not approach the scale required for the number of pieces needed, nor the quality the space deserved. Executives at Raise/JLL needed a more scalable and creative solution, fast.
“Over the past two years, CAP has become an essential creative partner to Hartbeat. What we value most is how easily they plug into our process, it always feels like we’re working with an extension of our own team. We've completed three office projects in three different cities together, and each one has been a smooth and collaborative experience. They’ve gone above and beyond in some seriously high-pressure situations, turning things around on timelines so fast they're almost hard to believe. Even when we’re moving quickly, the quality never slips. Thanks to CAP, our offices have been transformed into spaces that feel both comfortable and creatively inspiring.”

“Transforming a workplace to align with a brand's mission and creating experiential environments through CAP’s art activations is incredibly powerful. We anticipate growing demand from tenants seeking impactful ways to elevate their brand and enhance company culture. This innovative approach is a game-changer for placemaking experts and is truly exciting.”

"Hartbeat was a great collaboration and introduction to Creative Art Partners. From day one, they understood the visual language we were working with and enhanced it through pieces that felt bold, natural, and deeply connected to the space. Our goal was to celebrate modern design with saturated, organic elements that brought a sense of warmth to the workplace, and the artwork CAP curated did exactly that, creating visual experiences that speak to the culture and energy of the Heartbeat team.”

CAP was introduced to the project with just under 30 days until the official launch. After an immediate site walkthrough and strategic consultation, CAP designed a comprehensive art plan reflecting Hartbeat’s ethos. Over 80 artworks were curated with a focus on Black artists who represent diverse global and cultural backgrounds. The art selection was matched to room functions, executive personalities, and the interior design and architecture of each space. Overarching themes connected to Kevin Hart’s personal passions were present throughout, including basketball, the city of Los Angeles, and Black creators.
Within the compressed timeframe — about half the usual schedule for an installation of this size — CAP handled every detail with precision, including art selection, client onboarding and comprehensive insurance coverage. CAP's professional installers coordinated with the facilities team to ensure quality control that aligns with Heartbeat’s premium finishes and seamlessly integrates with the design, as if the collection was a part of the plan from the start.
Each artwork is accompanied by a co-branded placard produced by Creative Art Partners, featuring the artwork details as well as a QR code linking to a custom-created website, enabling team members and guests to explore the full art collection, artist profiles, and the CAP/Hartbeat art partnership story.
The Hollywood program’s success led Hartbeat to quickly extend CAP’s services into their newly launched Atlanta and New York offices. Both expansions were a seamless extension of the existing program, and Hartbeat benefitted from all the efficiencies of a single-source provider. Hartbeat continues to benefit from the modular aspect of the artwork program as their real estate footprint expands and contracts in their markets.
The CAP team continues to invest in this partnership and support Hartbeat with a variety of customized services, including rotating artworks in high-traffic areas to keep the environment fresh. In addition to making art part of the company’s daily culture and brand impact, CAP’s artist speaker series and events create cultural touchpoints for the Hartbeat team, inspiring interactive team engagement. Beyond the walls of Hartbeat, CAP has expanded impact to facilitate personal art purchases for Hartbeat team members.
“Curated with intention, the Hartbeat custom art collection celebrates a dynamic range of voices—featuring primarily Black artists alongside a diverse group of creators working across painting, collage, textile, photography, and sculpture. This collection is more than visual inspiration; it’s a reflection of Hartbeat’s belief that engaging content and comedy have the power to shift the culture and change the world. Each work complements the creative process that unfolds in the office daily, serving as a reminder that bold storytelling and cultural impact begin with authentic, fearless expression."
Jordan Horowitz
CAP Project Director
Kevin Hart has personally celebrated the collection, noting how it exceeds expectations in quality, cultural relevance, and thoughtfulness. He was especially proud that the installation included a prized piece from an artist also collected by Jay-Z, with a crucial distinction: the piece at Hartbeat is bigger. Employees and visitors continue to react with enthusiasm, with tours routinely sparking conversation and engagement. The program has become so central to Hartbeat’s identity that it is now integrated into their real estate strategy, employee experience, and brand narrative.
“This partnership is one of the things I am most proud about since starting this company. It is so special to align with a partner on the value that great art can bring, to not only a team but an entire brand. That the art is now inextricably linked to the culture and identity of Hartbeat is the best expression that we accomplished our goals.”
